Scott is experienced in Operations, Project Management, Behavioural Change and Customer Service with private equity backed companies across the hospitality sector.

He’s been in senior positions for a number of companies that have annual turnover of £500 million with a net worth of £2 Billion.

Scott has over 25 years of experience in the British Holiday industry and the London Hotel Market. Also multiple years running projects such as hotel new openings and working with the Cabinet Office’s Behavioural Insight Team. He was instrumental in delivering the Olympic 2012 strategy for WorldHost™ to the sector and has devised and delivered multiple bespoke customer service training and worked with businesses delivering strategy

Has spent nearly 30 years working within hospitality. This includes traditional holiday park resorts, caravan parks and high-end residential developments. Also, he has enjoyed a long career in the hotel sector where he has both mid-market and luxury 5-star experience in senior management roles.

Scott also has experience in Behavioural Change Project Management and Customer Experience Consultancy all specialising in the hospitality sector.

Reputation Management and Service Recovery is Scott’s forte, and has helped many businesses regain control of their online reputation.

Has been used as a hospitality subject matter expert by various media production companies with programs on the BBC and ITV. Has appeared on The Apprentice, The One Show and BBC London News in various segments.

Was selected to represent the Leisure and Tourism sector in Colchester for The Revive and Thrive event as a guest speaker where he discussed the Purple Pound and benefits for a town. He was also invited to present at the TEDx Colchester event to talk about the same subject.

Was part of the 2012 London Olympics accommodation committee representing Travelodge and played host to key corporate sponsors such as BP and Cadbury’s during the games.

Helped deliver WorldHost™ training across the sector which resulted in London being named the ‘Friendly games’ due to success borne from the program.

Is a qualified Prince2®trained practitioner and has used his skills to work with the Government cabinet office and Travelodge on a behavioural change project with regards to one of biggest industry complaints in the hospitality sector, which was noise experienced by guests. Trialled the project in Cardiff, London, Nottingham and Newcastle which resulted in a 60% reduction in noise experienced. This was achieved by using acute choice architecture and Nudge Theory.

Led large scale Food and Beverage projects for Travelodge, including menu changes and simplification of processes using lean kaizen methods to achieve consistency and sustainability of a branded offering. This included full overhauls of the Breakfast, Dinner and Beverage offerings. This gave him an opportunity to work with brands such as Lavazza, McCain’s, Müller, Typhoo and AB InBev.

Developed multiple training programs for team members and graduates.

Was engaged and consulted for independent hotel owners to transition over to franchise brands models such as Best Western and Comfort Inn.

Has consulted for and been part of Government and local Government working parties for the Department for Employment, Norfolk County Council, Fylde Borough Council and Colchester Borough Council.

Also, as an IOSH qualified Estate Manager he has overseen multiple million-pound capex projects from the initial Section 20 stage until completion. This includes landscaping, interior decoration, lift replacements and high-risk plant works.
